I love that I walked in and found her 

creatively exploring and manipulating yarn

 to create this masterpiece! 

..Even though we soon had to disassemble it to access 

their dresser once again :D

Bee Hive Hair Tutorial

MAN I love dressing up for Halloween!!!

I know it's no where near Halloween... 

but you can totally rock a bee hive for no particular reason

 if you're interested. Themed birthday parties anyone??? 

As promised,

Here's how I did my 'do: 

Step 1: Gather funnel, lots-o-bobby pins, and little bee clips

(what are the odds of having these around? but I did!)

Step 2: Divide hair into 3 sections. 

Hold funnel on top of head and wrap the back section of hair around the funnel

Pin hair in place with bobby pins.

 Here's what it looks like in the back ;)

Step 3:

Now gather right side of hair and wrap around funnel- pin in place.

Next gather left side of hair and wrap around funnel- pin in place.

Spray with mad amounts of hairspray and add 

decorative lil bees! 

 Wa LA! One quick bee hive to go!

 It's the bees knees

 Step 4: Find a hillbilly costumed man and pose like you take yourself

VERY seriously! :D hehe

 Step 5: Find a costumed friend whose theme is also 

"taking flight" 

and fly together!!! :D 

Step 6: With hair like this... go on a secret mission!

 Undercover batgirl and bee agents

 And there you have it! If you try this hairdo- PLEASE send photos

so I can show the world just how cute you are!!! 

Now that I have tiny hair, there will be no bee hives for about 3-4 more years!

Gotta go flapper style now- hehe

Leather Sandals

Garage sale goodness that ran in a size 2! Vintage leather sandals in a size 2??!!!

Well, I will enjoy looking at these on the feeties of my Elsa, but my search carries on!

I would so wear both of these!!!

Sadly my favorite strappy ones from Urban Outfitters 

saw their last sunny days this past summer :{

 RIP beautiful sandals!

A quick get away

up to Lake Arrowhead a few weeks ago with my girls to join my girlfriends, 

who were already there. 

An over nighter that was totally worth it for a visit to the great outdoors :D

There's nothing quite as good as opening the door and 

getting a rush of pines and crisp air! 

 Just enough snow on the ground for lil tiny snowballs

 Breakfast on the balcony, eggs, bacon, potatoes, strawberries, coffee, juice... dang

I haven't had a breakfast that good in a while :D

Gotta steal away when we can- it keeps one sane, ya know?! 

haha, this could be classified as a Pajama post! ;)

I've had this app for some time now, but never knew how people were really using it until I saw Jessica in action recently. (She takes some great shots!!!).  I had just been using it to add a lil somethin' somethin' to my shots and then share them here or on facebook. I just got the update on my app today and its gotten better, soooo I fiddled with it all day- (in between studying of course)

yeah, I was down and out with the flu this weekend! It was short lived but way brutal!

My lil Olivia had it pretty darn bad all week too- with soaring temperatures! Seems like this bug made a radical sweep across our friends, knocking us down like dominoes.
