Congratulations! Best wishes on the job search--with your smarts and positive energy, I am sure they'll be clamoring to hire you :)
P.S. That first photo is amazing! And I love the uniforms...nursing students here all seem to wear scrubs P.P.S. about the photo art my daughter did that i posted on my blog: she used an app on her iPod touch called "Aviary". she said it is a little difficult to use (though the results were rad!) so now she uses "LINE camera"
Yay Nicky!!! Huge congrats on a huge accomplishment!
I just read your beautiful comment on Heather's birth story. It was so touching and eloquently put. You are going to be such an amazing nurse, no doubt about that :)
NICKY! how did i miss this post!??! i have been thinking about you ever since my hospital stay. the whole time i was there, as much as i loved most of my nurses, i kept thinking NICKY WOULD BE THE DREAM NURSE TO HAVE! and then i read your beautiful comment on my blog and thought about your dedication and sweet love of others and it just radiates: you are the perfect nurse. it is so exciting that you passed the boards, and i can't wait to see what kind of job you get. i do think either OR or labor/delivery would be perfect for you. i couldn't help thinking it might even be something i'd like to do myself (first time ever in my life i pictured myself working for the medical establishment, but it seriously seems so vital to have those good nurses that make all the difference in a hospital stay). it is such an intense time in a person's life and to see your wonderful smiling face would seriously make the whole experience worthwhile and positive. i am so proud of you and excited for you and ALL your future patients!
one day we'll have to talk birth stories. i would love to hear more about your daughters' births.
also, can i just mention, those little white dresses are soooo adorable. are those just for ceremonial purposes or are they something that you'll actually wear for work? it always makes me kinda sad that women don't get to wear dresses much anymore in the workplace. (as a waitress i always wanted a cute little sassy dress and apron but instead, at mels we had jeans and a tee shirt...NOT my go-to look!)
sorry to write forever! you are so inspiring. much love to you and sooooo much appreciation for the work you are doing!
