Man. Things have been a whirl wind around here for the last month. I finished up the RN program and graduated a week ago (Thanks be to God). That was a grueling last semester but I so enjoyed it.
This is our pinning ceremony
Time to keep studying and take that ol' NCLEX so I can get my first RN job :D
Right after I graduated my sweet Grandfather, Baba, became very ill
and passed a week later from bone cancer. He and Mimi have been married for 66 years!!!!
He was 90 and lived such an awesome life and was such an example to us! He showed us how hard work pays off, taught us to live lives full of faith and love, and how family is so important! I will be ever grateful to be a part of such an awesome family and am eager to see him again one day in heaven, I like to picture him holding a good spot for us up there!
I was very fortunate to have just graduated and was able to spend my days with him, helping care
for him and spend time with him and Mimi. Our whole family was around, helping out, bringing food, working around the house. Baba was joking, smiling and sweet as ever, up til his death and
went very peacefully in his sleep.
Here is a post on Mimi and Baba's 65th anniversary last year :D
and another.
He will be truly missed and the family won't be quite the same without him,
but we'll see him again!
I'm eager to catch up with all you bloggy friends and just haven't had the chance for a while!
I'll be catching up soon~ hope you are all well! Summer's in full swing for my girls, time to play a little!

my grandmother passed away at the age of 59, and my first thought was, "i'll see her again." i just knew it. i was only 14 at the time, but something in me just knew that i would see her again. and i will, i have every faith.
dear nicky, we've only really just "met" but i want to extend heartfelt condolences about your grandfather. you write about him with such love, and i hope the sweetness of that carries you through the rough spots.
and congratulations on graduating!
Thank you so much, each of you sweet gals who took time to send some love!!! It really means a lot. :D xo
