Throw Back

I was answering some interview questions for our Vintage Fashion Team blog last night
(should be up soon) and adding pictures to support my answers.
I talked about the old hairstyles and clothes of the 40's/50's gals.
I decided to look up finger waves, pin curls, and 40's styles.
My hubby wasn't home so I spent my night browsing!
There are a gajillion hair tutorials on you tube- one could get lost out there!!!
These are just a few that I watched last night!
When you have a chance and there's nothing else
to do late at night... watch these! :D

(This is the one I kinda copied today!)

Now on to some REALLY exciting news...
...I landed my first nursing job today!!!!!!! All that schooling is actually gonna pay off!
Was it the vintage clothing?
My throw back hairstyle? I've never tried one before!?!
(besides when I had short bangs)
Right place at the right time???
Actually, God answered the very details about this job that I had prayed for!!!! He is GOOD!

Loving this skirt, by the way.
I picked it up from Salvation Army and had to fix the
waistband since the thread was coming undone.
Stitched, ironed... and off we go!

And here, the hairdo transforms to a more casual "I'm on my way to guitar class" style.
I can now read a whole octave worth of notes on a staff G through G and
am honing in on timing!
Maybe I'll be able to play like Rodrigo Y Gabriela at the end of this semester??? hahha
Do you have any favorite hairdos or tricks of the trade??
I'd LOVE to hear em!
G'night... time for some Zzzz's!
xx,
Nicky

Nicky,
Congratulations on your job, you deserve all the blessings you are given.

You do look absolutely out of this world gorgeous, too.
I'm on that hairstyle, girl. I'll show the pics later, provided that I do not totally mess it up.

As for the guitar playing, I'm gonna shoot you off an e-mail about that tonight. It's gonna be great.
Hugs,
Claire

Seriously, you are going to be the cutest nurse ever, what lucky patients you will have! Such a classic beauty you are too, the throwback hair looks stunning in all it's variations :)

You can pull off ANY hairstyle! But this one is quite fancy and refreshing to see. Haven't seen it on you, ever. Also, that pattern on the skirt is so cool. I would have snatched that up myself. Cute, and Cute.
