8 is Great

My hubby and I celebrated 8 years together!

Last summer his ring popped off in the ocean

while he was teaching me 

how to surf!

(I did get up that day! So I guess it was worth it!)

 I replaced it with this ring made from surgical titanium 

(I have a friend who works in a shop and custom made it)!

Super cool

You gotta try this:

There is much laughing involved!

We had a super cliche date (which we try to avoid)

but it was so much fun.

Dinner at Macaroni Grill and out for a movie.

Sew Darn Cute

I came across this book the other day as I was volunteering in my daughters preschool class.

Her school offers sewing and stitching to the Jr. Highers...

I think I might have found a new hobby-

teaching embroidery!?!   :)

This book has so many cute projects in it... happy birthday to me? (not til June)

James Taylor, Exchange Goodies

My friend Anne, 

over at A Cup Full Of Sunshine

got tickets for Christmas from her lovely Mama

to go see James Taylor and Carol King at The Hollywood Bowl...

and guess who she took???

-heheh ME!!!

Both of my parents LOVE James Taylor so I grew up listening

to him and became a big fan.

It was SO much fun to see him live. 

My little sister feels the same way- so the fact that she got to go was 

extra special- along with my dear friend Janet!

What a night!!!

We started with a little picnic

and then headed up for a fun time!

It's a little hard to tell but James is on guitar and Carol's playing piano for this one

Then we had to get a little goofy after the show...
