Appealing to my Senses

I pulled out a therapeutic aromatherapy super duper warmer last night

to put on my hubby's tweaked hand (after a nasty spill while mt. biking

and yeah, he broke 2 fingers).

I was reminded of all the yummy lavender things I love. 

They go as follows:

This lavender in my garden

These great dryer bags from Trader Joe's

Lavender farms

(I bet they get some wacky swarms of bees here!!!)

These soaps smell so delish!

This Trader Joe's lavender scented laundry soap

(Takes the bore outta chores)

not the best shot but the only one that you can see without pulling out bifocals,

all the others were teensy!

And this boppy looking device (for those of you with little ones)

Or just a great neck warmer for a therapeutic siesta!

I'm dreaming of a soft pillow like this one RIGHT now!!!!

Gotta get some shut eye,

Sunday Song- (On Monday Morning) "Your Hands"

I heard this song

 on the radio the other day and thought

 it was going to be a Sheryl Crow cover for

 "are you strong enough to be my man." 

I was happily surprised by her song, 

lyrics are rad, and her voice is so good! 

Her name is JJ Heller.

When I was doing my clinical rotation at the hospital the other day,

the nurse I was working with started telling me about a song she heard on the radio...

"this girl had a great voice and there was an acoustic guitar..."

I told her a couple of the lyrics and said I had written them down

while driving the other day so I could look her up.

We figured out that we were looking for the same song!

The nurses name is Patience.

hahah,

God is Good!!!

Happy Monday-

off to a simulation lab where the instructors are setting up

a trauma scenario where a person was shot through the chest while driving,

brought in to the ER

and we are the nurses receiving him!

I LOVE THIS SEMESTER!!!!!

I've been through the desert....

On a horse with no name...

Calico was happily visited by my little family unit and our friends too!

We did a little off roading and hiking!

Makes My Mouth Sing

Fresh squeezed juice with these sweet little glasses,

a jadite juicer, and a sunny morning will do the trick every time!

These oranges were "scrumtrulescent" 

(Will Ferrell, in a semi slow but hilarious skit)

We just enjoyed a fantastic weekend out in Indio!

(No, we didn't go to Coachella but saw

some pretty funny stuff on the way out...

I'll post those when I get em off my camera!)

Lazy days by the pool, attempts at studying (yeah, right!),

and some frosty beverages!

I brought my juicer out there and enjoyed 

cool sunny mornings with some music, juice, family and friends!

I had a hard time coming back home today :(

it's retardedly funny.

Man, he plays that role well.

I tend to get way lost in it...

Neiman-Marcus in sweet cocoa

One of my favorite finds

while browsing antique stores

was this fabulous Neiman-Marcus dress...

I had to! 

I've worn it on a couple of different occasions and felt like a million bucks-

it's quite comfy

and muy elegante!!! :)
