Kick Me and call me a Crafter

Well, I just went for IT!!!!!! My last post (scroll down) was asking if any of you ever need a "kick start" like me. I pulled out the materials today and made it all up as I went along. My husband has been building me my dream breakfast nook. Our house was built in 1928 and is full of cuteness and great craftsmanship, including my husbands' now! We even have a cool ironing board built in to the wall in the kitchen.

There is one little oops on the back of the pillow. When it was all inside out, the flaps made sense. When I turned it "right side out" the flaps were opposite of what I thought they'd be. I should really start pinning and testing! So impatient. Now to do the rest...

Need A Kick Start?

I do! For some reason, I'm really dreading sewing a few simple envelope style pillows! I'm not the best seamstress (with my machine) but I can make a straight line. I have some cute vintage fat quarters that I'd like to use to make small pillows (about 10" x 10") for our breakfast nook. My husband has been building the nook from scratch (well he used a picture from an old bungalow book) and it needs some pillows!!! Not rocket science... but have you ever just put off a project? It's Monday, fresh start!
